Ylla Shoes

The concept behind this brand is all about being an eco-chic. Ultimately, this just means that the brand, Ylla Shoes, wants to be a brand that’s known for making use of Filipino indigenous textiles and integrating it with a globalized sense of style and design that ultimately appeals to their target market.

Together withe being Filipinos and proud business owners here in the Philippines, they want people to know and believe that the products here in the Philippines are produced and made with high quality. They also would like to promote the vast amount of natural textile and resources that’s waiting to be tapped and a talented pool of footwear makers that can produce shoes with that can compete with the Global Standard.

How did this business start?

The whole group behind Ylla shoes got into this business because of their senior thesis project wherein they were required to propose and implement a business strategy. To make their project more meaningful and useful, they did something that was connected with their passion so it was not hard for them to develop and further continue this after their college graduation. Luckily, they had a group mate who had a background in the footwear industry (their passion) and all they had to do was conceptualize the brand that would be perfect for them, as representatives of the brand, and for their chosen target market.

And just like any passionate-infused project, this brand became their “creative outlet” and was the perfect avenue wherein they can apply everything that they have learned in college as AB Management Economics majors.

Their newest collection:

For this newest collection – the Clara Wraparound Sandals utilize various types of natural textiles like raffia and abaca. For their other designs, they have experimented with beads and faux leather. However, for this collection the predominant collection are nudes and pastels – accents of salmon, lilac, nude pink, etc.

Clara Wraparound Sandals

These elegantly chic wraparound sandals go well with any outfit which are perfect for day and night! On top of that, these sandals come in 3 different colors: pink/green, plain and purple. All of these sandals are made up of Raffia on top and has rubber non-skid soles. The straps are locked via Velcro.

These sandals are perfect for any kind of fit from normal to wide width making it flattering for anyone.

All of these are priced at Php1,200 each.

Acupuncture London: A Brand Born from the Land of Royalties

One of the brands that will be joining the Esprit de Noel Bazaar is Acupuncture London. This is actually the first time that I have ever came across this brand. I actually first thought that it had something to do with medicines. I was actually pretty surprised that this brand is all about sneakers. This is actually one of the brands that would also be perfect for those folks who do not like mainstream brands.

Update as of October 31, 2010

Happy Halloween Everyone! I’m still here awake, listening to “The Bottomline” with Boy Abunda – it’s his birthday celebration episode. Instead of interviewing someone else, he’s the one who is being interviewed. Talk about being in the shoes of the people who he interviews. 🙂

Anyway, back to my original post. I will only be posting update for the Esprit de Noel Bazaar BECAUSE, I have already closed and concluded the tally for Global Pinoy Bazaar! If I post it now, there wouldn’t be any thrill anymore when I post the winners on November 3, 2010, right?? 😛

So here goes the tally for the Esprit de Noel Bazaar:

Things to remember:

A random raffle will be done for this. The number that you have beside your name states the number of raffle of entries that you will have. A number series will be assigned to you during the raffle draw depending of the number of points that you have. And a random number will be generated through random.org. We still have until November 14 to get more raffle tickets. 🙂

Good luck!
