Hey guys! 🙂
It has been such a long time since I last wrote here. Well update from that time? My sister (Mommy Ginger) and Manila Workshops, had the UBER successful Homeschooling Conference. It never actually quite dawned on me that there are lot of people into homeschooling before that conference.
Of Coffee and Coincidences
That picture up there just shows Kori Kohi which is probably one of my favorite coffee concoctions from UCC. And probably a reminder to me that coincidences do occur.
If you probably know me, I’m one of those people who doesn’t really believe and coincidences. But in the past few weeks, there are just some things that strangely presents themselves to me and I’m a bit shaken. Well, shaken is not really the right term. Let’s just say, pleasantly surprised?
A coincidence (often stated as a mere coincidence) is a collection of two or more events or conditions, closely related by time, space, form, or other associations which appear unlikely to bear a relationship as either cause to effect or effects of a shared cause, within the observer’s or observers’ understanding of what cause can produce what effects. (according to Wikipedia)
As for me, I honestly don’t believe in coincidences. I do believe though that things happen when you make it happen. But sometimes, there are just some things that happen out of your control and this is what is confusing me… Because a part of me also believes that things happen for a reason and we just don’t know what the reason is for now but soon it will unfold before our very eyes.
Deepak Chopra and other proponents of ancient Vedic spiritual and other mystical teachings insist on the view that there is absolutely no coincidence in the world. Everything that occurs can be related to a prior cause or association, no matter how vast or how minute and trivial. All is affected by something related to it that is seen or unseen, cognized or unknowable.
And so, I am left to wonder what it is.
Another dilemma though… I also don’t believe in signs. Well, it’s probably because whenever I ask for a sign, I don’t get it. So I don’t know how to read signs very well. 😛
And recently, I encountered a person who were given signs and he got them. Kind of frustrating if you ask me. How come other people can read it clearly, see it loud and clear and me? I can’t even determine it! BOO! 😐 This is frustrating. But then again, maybe, just maybe, I really need to quiet my mind to realize things.
What about you… do you believe in coincidences? 🙂
