5 TV Series that I’m looking forward to! :)

For the past few months, I have been influenced by a really close friend of mine to watch TV series again. I used to watch a lot during my college days but then when I started working, I stopped watching already because I’m always soo busy. But then this love for watching series has been reborn again when he encouraged me to watch How I Met Your Mother.

And then just like that, I’m hooked again! 🙂

So there’s my TV Roundup after I finish HIMYM.

1.) The Mindy Project

The series follows obstetrician/gynecologist Mindy Lahiri (Mindy Kaling) as she tries to balance her personal and professional life, surrounded by quirky co-workers in a small medical practice in New York City. The character was inspired by Kaling’s own mother, an OB/GYN. Mindy explores through life with the help of her co-workers: Danny Castellano, her best friend and love interest, whose religious sensibilities and mother issues occasionally cause some tension; Jeremy Reed, the English doctor with whom Mindy slept in Season 1, and who now heads the practice; Peter Prentice, another handsome doctor who was fraternity jock while attending Dartmouth; Morgan Tookers, a wacky registered nurse who is also an ex-con because he was framed by his career criminal cousin; and Beverley, a libidinous older woman who is the office receptionist and has a heavy Southern accent.

2.) Girls

Aspiring writer Hannah gets a shock when her parents visit from East Lansing, Michigan, and announce they will no longer financially support her as they have done since her graduation from Oberlin College two years before. Left to her own devices in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, she navigates her twenties, “one mistake at a time”.[5] Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, Zosia Mamet, Adam Driver and Alex Karpovsky co-star as Hannah’s circle of friends.

3.) Jane the Virgin

Set in Miami, the series details the surprising and unforeseen events that take place in the life of Jane Villanueva, a hard-working, religious young Latina woman whose family tradition and a vow to save her virginity until her marriage to a detective is shattered when a doctor mistakenly artificially inseminates her during a checkup. And to make matters worse, the biological donor is a married man, a former playboy and cancer survivor who is not only the new owner of the hotel where Jane works, but was also her former teenage crush.

4.) Selfie

The series follows the life of Eliza Dooley, a woman obsessed with the idea of achieving fame through the use of social media platforms, including Instagram where she posts selfies. She begins to worry that “friending” people online is not a substitute for real friendship, and she seeks help from Henry Higgs, a marketing image guru.

The character names are a reference to Eliza Doolittle and Henry Higgins, the main characters of the 1912 George Bernard Shaw play Pygmalion, further popularized by the 1956 musical My Fair Lady. In the play and musical, Henry is tasked with improving Eliza’s social status, and ends up succeeding all too well; an eventual romantic relationship between the two is hinted at, but never shown.

5.) Web Therapy

The popular online show, now a television series, features Fiona Wallice who is branching a new type of therapy. She decides that 3 minutes over web cam is better than 50 minutes of patients rambling on. By dramatically shortening session time, she hopes to get results more quickly. Her sessions take place via web cam over the Internet and are taped in the hope of attracting investors into promoting her new technique as a worldwide therapy option.

What about you? What are the TV series that you are hooked into right now? 🙂

Count Your Blessings. Literally. #BDJMakeItHappen

Hey Guys!

It’s the first day of work for a lot of us. I’m pretty excited about this New Year. Never mind but I don’t have plans ahead but I guess I’m just looking forward to a better year.

2014 wasn’t ALL that bad for me but I guess there were still some better years for me though. And I’m truly determined to make this year MY year.

Just wanted to share this video clip with you guys. I know that this is a pretty old clip and probably some of you wouldn’t really like it but what the heck. It really sends out a good message for us all.

Count your blessings instead of counting sheep to fall asleep! 🙂

There will probably be a lot of times in your life when you will feel sad about the bad things that are happening in your life and it may be quite a struggle for you to remember all of the good things that you have. But let me tell you, from first hand experience, that yes it takes a lot of practice and courage to actually do this. I, for one, have been such a negative person in the past but with consciously, I had to train myself to always look at the brighter side of things.

So here are the things that I am thankful for:

1.) Family.

This is probably the thing that I am most grateful for today. Although not perfect, I know that my family will always be there to love and support me.

2.) Friends.

I have lots of sets of friends – high school friends, college friends, work friends, new found friends. 😛 And I am amazed at the time that I was able to spend and meet up with them in the 2-week break that I had. This was really something different for me and something that I am truly grateful for. Imagine, I was able to see my High School Friends! 🙂 And one of my High School Friends, is here from Australia.

Also, one of my super close college friends is also back from the US. It was soo nice to get to meet up with them and to really talk about things that matter. As I was with them, it actually dawned on me on how much we’ve changed and how much our topics changed in the last few years. Yes, we’re mature already. 😛

And new found friends! Thank God for them because if it hadn’t been for them, I wouldn’t have changed an outlook in my life. 😛

3.) Work.

And even if I do complain a lot about work. Or get really stressed about work. I still wouldn’t imagine my life without work. I’ve met some of the best people in my life because of my work and I’ve experienced some things that I know would have never came across if it hadn’t been for that. So, Thank You Work! 🙂

4.) Opportunities.

These always come and go. But everything that is thrown at us, is an opportunity always to make things better. And thank You always for giving the opportunity to meet new people or to experience something. I am truly grateful for all of these – no matter what the outcome is because all of these have made me grow and molded me into the person that I am now! 🙂

And with that, just wanted to share this TO-DO list for the day:

Today's To-Do List

I hope you guys would be able to tick all of these today. As far as I’m concerned, I’m done with number 1. Hope you can share with me the blessings that you’ve had and that you still continue to have! 🙂 I would love to hear from you guys! <3

Iprice.ph Coupons: Consolidated Database of Online Shopping Promo Codes

It’s December 18 and 6 days before Christmas. I actually know a lot of people who haven’t started their Christmas shopping or who have just started their Christmas shopping. It’s actually a good thing that nowadays, online shopping has already picked up here in the Philippines. I, for one, am an avid supporter of online shopping. With the busy schedule that I have, with the crazy traffic in Metro Manila, I don’t have that much time to really go to the mall and shop.

I recently stumbled upon this site, Iprice.ph. This is a site wherein you get coupons for some of the online shopping sites here in the Philippines. Some of the stores that offer coupons there are the following, Zalora, Lazada, Foxysales, Wego and Bebe.

Iprice Coupons

A good thing to note about this, is that they actually offer coupons to pretty big sites, 2 of which I ordered from already and am confident to actually endorse these online shops, namely, Zalora and Lazada.

Iprice Coupons Zalora

Pretty good, stuff huh?

How it works:

If you see an offer with a “Get the Code” button, click on it and a window will pop out wherein you can copy the code. If this doesn’t work, don’t worry because it will also appear instead of seeing the “Get the Code” button.

Iprice Coupons Pop Up

But the things is, you have to hurry because most of these codes, have expiry dates. Some of which expires in 5 days, other in 2 weeks, so it really depends.

Iprice Coupons Code

Best thing to do is to check it out as often as possible so that you won’t miss out on these great offers.

  • If you shop often using these sites, then you would probably have a lot of fun because you will get the discounts that you need.
  • I know that these stores often email promo codes but then sometimes, it just gets lost in a pile of emails so with this site, its consolidated already and you won’t need to scamper around your email looking for the code that is applicable during the time that you want to shop

  • Site only offers codes for limited sites, it would be better if we have a lot more sites that join or participate on this site. And for the Philippines, I really do hope that there would be a lot more shops that offer online shopping.

Hope this helps you and your Christmas shopping. Hope you guys have a great holiday ahead! 🙂
