Remember my post about the Shiq? Well, the online retailer, Catalogue 63, where I found that bag will be having a multi-brand trunk show. This event will be held on June 25-26 from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Metropolitan Club, Estrella Street, Makati City.

Popular local brands such as Renegade Folk, Tala Manila, Two Oranges Bags and Naked Sun will be participating in the said event. This trunk show will also mark the official launch of the Catalogue 63 website.

“We’re very excited to hold our first ever trunk show to officially launch Catalgue 63. This fashion show is the brainchild of 2 young fashion forward entrepreneurs: prominent fashion photographer, Ms. Kristine Soguilon, President and CEO of Indios Bravos Multimedia, and Ms. Cristina Tanseco-Guerrero, recipient of the 2010 Go Negosyo Inspiring Young Filipino Entrepreneur Award and founder and Managing Director of Ideal Events International. Of course, let us not forget two very important organizations who have also helped them put together this event, namely, Go Negosyo:Babae Kapuso Ka ng Bayan and GMA 7.

More About The Fashion Show

Contestants are challenged to design a complete wardrobe collection for men and women which consists of only 11 sets that a sophisticated client can take on a summer holiday. These sets should be fashion forward, provocative, compact and practical. The collection must also be versatile enough to clothe the client in style from morning until evening – from the resort to the beach to the water.

The culminating activity of this competition is the grand gala finale fashion show and awarding ceremony in front of a panel of judges and viewed by a live audience comprised of local and international press, buyers, celebrities, fashion bloggers and VIPs.

The winning designer will receive a cash prize, gift certificates, a fashion business start0up kit, a feature in a major broadsheet and a fashion magazine. He or she will also be given a chance to showcase the winning collection in a prominent shopping establishment.

Included in the Risq team are the following: mentor or designer Delby Bragais, stylist Richmond Rondolo, choreographers Christian Marco of Hotlegs, Riel Balan of the Manoeuvers; lighting director Joseph Matheu, and multi-awarded playwright Mr. Floy Quintos as director.

Profits from RISQ will go to the Rotary of San Nicolas Street Children’s Foundation.

2 more months and it’s summer already. By this time, I’m sure that a lot of you guys have already booked your flights to your favorite summer destination or better yet to places that you have always wanted to visit. Hello, beach, sun and fun! I’m pretty sure that once you have already booked your flights, your hotels, the next thing that you will look for are your favorite summer outfits.

Unfortunately for me, I don’t think this summer will be the same usual one. I’m not going to say hello to the sun but I think that I’ll be saying hello to something else – an experience that I’m truly grateful for. But enough about that. Let’s just say hello to the new collection of swimwear by Nui. One of the first swimwear brands that has already given us a preview of what they will be offering us this summer season.

Last January 16, 2011, I have featured that Nui is on sale. They are actually still on sale and you can grab anything that you want before it is gone. Moving forward to Summer 2011, the new Spring/Summer Collection of 2011 will be out on February 4, 2011. Check out the pictures below…
