So you being a human being should be a part of World Food Expo (WOFEX) this coming August 3-6, 201 at the World Trade Center & SMX Convention Center!!!

Last year, I also went to the WOFEX and aside from seeing a lot of different food and suppliers, it was also pretty interesting to see some of the items that you need to put up a food business. Some of the heavy equipment and gadgets that you need can be also found here and at a very discounted price.

And if you’re into the whole confectionery thing, you have to attend the Seminar that will be held by Ewald Notter – one of the finest confectionery chefs in the world. It’s supposed to be a great year for me and for those people who were born under the year of the Boar. I’m actually pretty excited for this year and I truly and honestly believe that this will really a great year for me – for both work and non-work. I actually can’t wait to find out what this year will bring in for me.

On matters of the heart. Well that’s a different story. Although, Valentines Day is usually a day for couples, I have learned that it can still be fun for people who do not have partners. First of all, for the past couple of years, the people who have made my life really whole and complete are my family and friends. They really have made me felt how truly blessed I am. For that, I am really grateful.

Just a few more days and the first month of the year of 2011 will come to an end. To many, it is the first month of starting their resolutions and keeping to it. Many will probably be faith and true to their resolutions but most will slowly but surely forget what they promised themselves to do. This whole week, January 24-28, was declared Fitness Week at my office. With that, people in the office were permitted, for the first time ever, to wear sportswear to the office. It was actually quite refreshing to see some people look soo relaxed even just in what they were wearing. We also had a lot of activities but unfortunately, I had too many things up, and I wasn’t able to attend any. I originally wanted to have the 30-minute hilot massage and the yoga sessions but then time didn’t permit me. This just reminds me that I SHOULD make time for the things that I want to do and not just for things that I HAVE to do.

Well YOU TOO. I know that there are just a lot of people out there who get soo caught up with work, family, friends, etc. and they forget to take care of themselves. Here are some of the things that I think would help you with this:

1. Keep your self clean. Not only being clean with your body but be clean with everything – with your room, with your desk. The more clutter that you have around you, the more stressed you get.
2. Take time out to relax. I don’t care if it’s going to the parlor, going to the gym, having a massage. Just take time out to do something that you want to do or have fun doing.
3. Have a good attitude. Be nice to people. People are different and you have to learn how to adapt with these different personalities. Stand up for yourself but be tactful. Be respectful even if people are mean. Always look at the good side in each person.
4. Eat healthy. I know what’s it’s like to be forced to eat fruits and vegetables and to drink a lot of water but you just have to try to do this. It’s good for you.
5. Get enough sleep. Not only will you get under eye circles when you lack this but you also will feel more relaxed and will have a better day when you have enough of this.

Hopefully, these 5 things would help you become a new you! :)

Last time, I shared with you what I got for Halloween and I’m actually so excited to share it to my team tomorrow during the team meeting. This time, I’m going to share with you what I got from the Thanksgiving gift pack.

First of all, what is Thanksgiving? Thanksgiving is a harvest festival celebrated in the US and Canada. It is a time to give thanks for th harvest and express gratitude in general. It usually falls on the 4th November of every year (for the States) and on the 2nd Monday of October (for Canada). But for purposes of reference, I would rather celebrate it in November because 1.) November is nearer to the end of the year and that would mean more things to thank for, 2.) It’s just before December which is Christmas season, 3.) it’s my birthday month, so it’s literally the end of the year for me.

So for this year, Thanksgiving falls on November 25. Take that down!

Usually in the States, that’s the time when they gather all together and have a feast over a nice big turkey. If you have watched Eat, Pray and Love, there was one particular scene there wherein Liz (the character of Julia Roberts) brought the tradition to France. During the movie, I was thinking this was one of the nice holidays that we should truly bring the Philippines. And we can! Nobody can tell us what we should or we shouldn’t do, right?
