Accessories 17 May 2012 | 0 Comments

Feet Series, Neat Feat

Product Description

This product is made out of Plastazote, which is a similar material to what camping mats are made from. This is widely recommended for people with diabetes, arthritis or any skin disorder that requires your foot to remain friction-free.

Some of the special features of this product are the following:

Better pressure distribution
Soft tissue arch support
Insulation against cold, hard walking surfaces
Reduces the force of impact, supports the arch
Deep heel cup gives stability and support

This product is ideal for a wide variety of activities such as working, walking, hiking, standing and sports.

Care and Fitting

Insert in shoes. Wear for a few hours a day until in-soles become self-molded and to allow feet to adjust to the correction. Once fully molded and comfortable, begin to wear full time. Hand wash in warm water and air dry.

Who is this product for?

This product is for people with diabetes arthritis or any skin disorder that requires your feet to remain friction-free.

Pros

This product is Self-Moulding which means that it adapts to your foot instead of your foot adapting to how it’s supposed to curve
It makes you feel more comfortable because it distributes the pressure that is created on your foot evenly
Best to be used when walking on hard surfaces such as concrete. I would think that it would also then serve as protection to your shins and knees avoiding shin splints and knee injuries.
You can definitely use this when you are walking around, malling and going abroad when you really need to walk for hours and hours.
For Hygienic purposes, you can wash this product again and again. Just air dry and voila, you already have insoles as good as new!

Cons

I actually personally don’t know the difference of the of the Diabetic Self-Molding In-Sole with the Full Length Cushioning In-Sole but I think that it would be with the Self-Moulding concept.
It’s not a corrective In-Sole so you have to use it for its purpose. If you want to correct your foot then I think it would be better to use the other product – Full Length Cushioning In-Sole
I really think that it takes up space in the shoe. Just like the Full Length Cushioning In-Sole, you already have to have a specific shoe in mind that you would like to use this product with. When buying the shoe, have the product ready already (nicely trimmed to fit your foot) and fit the shoe with the product.
When using it for the first time, I really think that you will find it a bit uncomfortable because you are not used to it. But I think that in the long run, it will have more benefits to you and your health as well.

For more information, you can check out the following website: https://www.neatfeat.com/. In the Philippines, it is available in selected Watsons stores as well as in R.O.X.

The Feet Series: Neat Feet: Full Length Cushioning In-Sole Part II

So I tried to use this product last night but because I was so tired, I decided to finish doing it today. First of all, when you get the package, the insoles that you get will not be exactly for you. So you have to try it on your feet and outline it so that you know where you’re going to cut it. Pen and scissors should be handy here.

Feet Series, Neat Feet

Mine looks weird but I was never really good with arts and crafts.

What the product says…

Feet Series, Neat Feet

Pros:

It’s really thick and I can see why they say that it’s excellent for walking, hiking, and sports
Excellent use for rubber shoes, this will give you added cushioning – just make sure that your rubber shoes aren’t tight.
Best for using on trips wherein you walk non-stop. This would definitely give you the cushioning that you need.

Cons:

It’s soo thick that you can’t place them in normal shoes, let’s say flats. Or else it’ll really show or your shoes will be really snug and tight.

Overall:

I like this product and will definitely use this. I really do feel sometimes that back pains and aches are brought about by too much walking (which I personally love to do) and I feel that there are a lot of people out there who have the same problem as me.

Tips:

When buying shoes, walking shoes, rubber shoes, or whatever shoes that you would like to use this product with, already take into account the thickness of this product OR you can go to the shoe store and fit the shoe with this product already. This will save you the hassle of not being able to use it because the shoes that you bought are just right.

Will I Repurchase?

Most probably yes.

To whom do I recommend this product?

I would recommend this product to people who love walking, hiking, shopping, running. I’m pretty sure this would make a HUGE different to how you feel after doing those activities.

Where to purchase and how much?

I’m still trying to find out! But I will definitely keep you in the loop

The Feet Series: Neat Feet: Full Length Cushioning In-Sole

Accessories 13 May 2012 | 0 Comments

For the next couple of days or posts, I will be featuring items that would take care of the feet. Honestly, the feet would probably be one of the most neglected parts of our body. One of the product lines that I will be featuring would be Neat Feet. Neat Feet is a brand of foot care products from New Zealand that are relatively affordable and caters to a lot of foot problems – Athlete’s foot, flat foot, bunions, etc.

I for one personally suffer from back pain. I honestly don’t know why but probably because I seat a lot. OR it could be because I am flat-footed. I’ve known that ever since I was young but I was never able to correct it.

So when I saw this product – the Full Length Insole – I immediately got interested because it is said to relieve stress on your ankles, knees hip and lower back. And excellent for all normal activities – working, walking, hiking, standing, sports.

Neat Feet Full Length Insole Foot Care GelsSo, this would be perfect for my gym shoes!

These insoles are specially designed to improve foot posture. It also corrects foot faults so there’s still hope for my flat footedness.

I personally haven’t tried it yet but it seems pretty interesting. I will get back to you about it.

What about you? What is your foot problem?

Gucci or Louis?

Accessories 10 May 2012 | 0 Comments

It’s said that in a woman’s lifetime, it’s best to have at least one investment bag. And honestly, here in the Philippines, it seems that Louis V has gained more popularity though. Most probably because of it’s exclusivity – meaning, they don’t go on sale so the only people who can truly afford the bag, gets the bag. But really now, an investment bag is still an investment bag. It will go through years and years and nobody would dare ask you in the future, how much you got it for and will look down at you for the price that you paid for.

I need a new watch!! :(

Accessories 6 May 2012 | 2 Comments

I’m not that much of a watch person. Ever since I was a little kid, I was not a watch person because watches tend to give me allergies. Weird, huh? But then a few years back, I got to love watches already. My mom gave this Philip Stein watch that unfortunately, died on me a few months ago when I was in Shanghai.

Because of that, I bought this cute watch at the Forbidden City in Beijing. This cute watch costs 21 RMB which is roughly 147 PHP. Cute huh?

This watch is cute and different but I need something more formal. You know, something that would make other respect me at work. :P

So I’m still struggling to figure out what I would do:

Option 1: To go and have the batteries of my Philip Stein changed. BUT that’s such a hassle because you have to go all the way to their office at 6750 to have it changed (which honestly, Philip Shtein, I don’t get)

Option 2: Buy a new watch. Which would be soo expensive. :( And I’m trying to save up money.

So, thinking, thinking, what shall I do?
