Payless Shoe Source in the Philippines

If you guys have been to the States, you probably know of this brand. I personally have not been to the States but a lot of my friends have been raving about this store because of the good quality shoes that they offer but affordable prices as well.

I first saw this post in Twitter again (just like the H&M) post but then I was able to confirm it via the FHM site wherein they featured it. I later found out that it was SSI (Stores Specialists, Inc.) are the ones responsible for bringing in this brand. I dropped them a not asking if it’s true and when the opening is and they confirmed that the first store will be opening this month in Festival Mall.

How sad! That the first store will be in such a far place. But then, they will also open 8 more stores within the year in the following malls: Shangri-La Plaza, SM Megamall, Ali Mall, Greenhills Shoppesville, Rockwell, Market! Market!, Robinsons Galleria, and Marquee Mall in Pampanga.

This brand will be managed by Footwear Speciality Retailers, Inc. a subsidiary of SSI.

  1. come on you guys its fair that Payless would be opening here down south, cuz you guys got the first etude branch at Megamall and then, Forever21. so i think its just fair hehe :3

  2. Haha. You're right! =) At least it's evenly spread out! πŸ™‚ I hope that Forever 21 and Etude would also open there!! =) But I heard that H&M will open naman daw in MOA. But that's still a rumor =)

  3. I thnk they already launched it last week. It will open on the 28th? πŸ™‚ Something like that. =)

  4. We already have Etude house here at Festival Mall though ^_^ H&M @ MOA sounds nice! very accessible area, well at least for most of us here at south hoho πŸ™‚

  5. I like Payless shoes, but I liked them much much more years ago – their prices were wayyy much better. I'm not so happy about SSI bringing them here because SSI tends to hike up the prices. πŸ™ I hope this is not the case for Payless!

  6. Really? They were cheaper then? Well, prices really tend to go up through time. I haven't gone to Payless abroad and here though so I don't really have a point of comparison. Hehe. Let me know if you have been to that store already, okay? =)

  7. i love payless shoes! the shoes are great and very2x affordable.. im happy they are here in the philippines. Though I hope they will soon open more branches esp in manila area..

  8. These are the stores that will open within the year: Shangri-La Plaza, SM Megamall, Ali Mall, Greenhills Shoppesville, Rockwell, Market! Market!, Robinsons Galleria, and Marquee Mall in Pampanga.. I hope they will open in Manila too for you! πŸ˜€

  9. despite the US website having shoes for men, women and kids. The branch in alabang sad to say is 95% designed for women. I one just takes a glimpse of the shop you will automatically assume that its a shop for the ladies (that is if you know nothing about the shop). If one dares enter it you will find that the men’s section is placed at the rear and at the extreme right end. Lastly, the men’s selection is very limited despite them saying that the one of the brands they would be carrying is champion. There were only a few models available.

May I suggest that you start operating a local Payless website so that people would be aware of what is available locally so as not to waste time and effort.

  10. Hmmm.. I actually wonder why that happened. Maybe it’s because they’re targeting the women more for now and just testing the waters for the male market. I’m actually not in any way connected to Payless or to SSI but I think it’s a great idea to have a local website and have shipping as well. πŸ™‚ Let’s just hope that they read this blog and your comment so that they can do something about it. πŸ˜‰

  11. Cool huh!? And my dad was able to get Dexter shoes for less than 2k. I know men’s shoes are really expensive right? πŸ˜€

  12. you are not the only one who think that way, men’s in us too! cause i work at payless shoes! but actually payless has a lot to offer.

  13. I’ve went to their Festival Mall branch a couple of weeks ago and I was surprised with the low prices of authentic and branded Men’s shoes. Guaranteed I’ll be back there to purchase a new pair this Christmas.

  18. Christian Soriano shoes are limited to size 10 only. i checked Payless website, they have size 11 & 12. when can we have large sizes (CS) in our local stores?

  19. I’m not sure about that. I think it really depends on what they bring in to the Philippines. Maybe what you can do is talk to the manager of the branch that you usually visit and ask for that. Maybe then can find a way of bringing it in here to the Philippines πŸ™‚
