Manila Shopaholic

When I first heard this or read about this from the post of Manila Reviews, I thought, that would be easy. Just list the top 10 blogs that I usually visit and read. But much to my dismay, it’s not that easy and there is a specific criterion. Check out this post to learn more about this contest.

And I have much research; I have come up with 9. Yup, I have 9 only. I am still looking for the last piece to complete this cycle.

So, with further delay, here are my top 10:

1.)    Foodie Manila

First of all, I love foodie, which explains my constant battle with the bulge but hey, I still eat! Food nourishes people and this blog truly nourishes my appetite of finding something new. A new food trip. And since this is something about Manila, I’m truly 100% a fan. I love people who goes out of their way to promote our country. I’m not your natural nationalistic person but hey, I try. And this is my first step to nationalism.

2.)    Manila Mommy

Okay, I’m not a Mommy so why am I reading this blog? Well, just because it’s very interesting to find out what’s in the mind of young mommies out there. This blog is actually for everyone. To funny videos or the personal experiences of the blogger, someone can pick up a thing or two that can actually brighten their day (like how it’s brightening mine right now as I write).

3.)    Manila Shopaholic

Yes, I’m dropping modesty aside. Instead of waiting for someone to nominate you, why don’t you just nominate yourself? (Haha) Well, and because I truly believe in my cause as well. I believe that every entrepreneur – especially the younger set who are just starting out their business – needs a break and I’m trying to give it to them through viral marketing. This blog aims to feature and share the good finds here in the Philippines especially those that are being made by Filipinos. Cause Filipinos are cool and we will rock the international market.

4.)    Manila Fitness

There are soo many blogs out there about running and I’m really not into that. Hence going back to my first point about loving food. Although, I still see to it that I get enough exercise so I do yoga. And this is just what that blog features. Manila Fitness covers everything about Fitness. For the runners out there, there are announcements of race runs. For the martial artists, there are also posts for you. And for those people who are trying to find their inner self (just like me), there are also posts about that for you!

5.)    Mommy Rubz

First of all, I would like to promote this site because she has the passion for blogging about life and more. More being the life that she’s living not only for herself but for her children and her family as well. I don’t know her personally but I think she and Manila Mommy might have a lot of things to talk about. She and Manila Mommy shares the finds that they have.

6.)    PJ goes Pop!

I am nominating her because she’s real. I like real bloggers. They actually mirror the minds and the different facets that a woman has. Yes, she’s a woman, a blogger, a gamer, a crafter, a researcher, a writer, a teacher, and an independent free thinker. She says in her blog that she’s a geeky Pinoy girl and I should think that she should be proud of that because everyone should be proud of who they are. YOU GO GIRL!

7.)    The Creative Dork

I am nominating him because he deals with everything under the sun and he’s creative. I actually can relate to how he feels about “dumbing” down. There are times when we get so engrossed in our work that we sometimes forget how to think creatively. There’s always step 1, 2, 3. A process to follow. Sometimes, life becomes very routinary and thinking out of the box becomes a job when before it was just how we usually think about things. You should check out his blog and let the creative juices flow throughout your body.

8.)    The Thirsty Blogger

To match with my number 1 choice… what’s food without drinks? Yes, very unique. A blog that features all of the latest and coolest drinks here in the Philippines. Thirsty much? Then this is the read for you. I guess this is probably something that was brought about the heat here in the Philippines where drinking something cool will actually brighten your day. Maybe when the weather is cool, they can also feature something nice and warm.

9.)    Twain-Ty

I like how the entries are written. It’s the kind of read that makes you think. Makes you ponder about things. I was like this before and then the world became noisy. But I like reading things like this. And I believe in what they say, that there are always two sides to everything. If you say something, there can always be another interpretation. Tricky, right? Well, that is what writing is all about. Trying to decipher everything.

10.) Manila Blogs

To finish my Top 10, it’s Manila Blogs. I’m actually a first time and all the information I can get about blogging is really helpful. This blog explains the complexities of blogging in simple terms and helped me through these few months of blogging. I hope that you guys also consider this part of your top 10! :)
